Growing a vigorous fresh produce industry for a healthy planet and people

13-Feb-2012 As its predecessors, the allFresh! 2012 Conference and Expo promise to be a significant and vastly informative agricultural event within the fresh produce sphere. The event will be held at the CSIR in Pretoria on 1 and 2 October. Day one will largely consist of generic sessions where guests will be addressed by a wide range of speakers. On the second day the conference will be split into various workshops all dealing with matters under the umbrella of the 2012 theme.

The focus of allFresh this year will be on how the use and consumption of fruit and vegetables can be promoted in a way to create and increase sustainable growth within the fresh produce market. The system will be broadly approached and the role of all players discussed and analysed so as to move towards a prosperous industry where the interest of all involved are taken into account.

With the use of state of the art audience response systems the conference looks to be interactive and aims to capture and respond to all comments made. allFesh! will look to promote more business-to-business initiatives to encourage interaction and networking. In 2012, allFresh! will focus even more strongly on the social aspect of such a conference, which lays a platform for valuable interaction between all involved. For this reason allFresh! will fulfil a large networking function.

The allFresh! 2012 exhibitors’ catalogue, which will contain the names and backgrounds of all participating exhibiters, will be available at the Expo.

The whole of the fresh produce industry are encouraged to place advertisements in the AllFresh! Directory which is published online, and in a printed A5 format of which 30 000 will be distributed as inserts in industry magazines. This will provide industry the opportunity for some exposure, as well as provide conference participants with more information on who and what will be present at allFresh! 2012.
